What is the Wedding Attire?
Beach Casual. Guys - you are more than welcome to wear a nice pair of shorts. Since the ceremony is on the beach we will most likely not be wearing shoes so feel free to do the same.
Where do we pick up transportation at the aiport when we arrive?
Upon walking out of customs into the arrivals corridor, you will pass through a room of aggressive salespeople trying to sell you timeshares or private transportation. Simply say "no gracias" and walk straight through to get to your designated transportation.
Are you Ubering from the Airport?
The uber app works great in PV and Bucerias! If you plan on ubering from airport to your hotel or Airbnb we will walk you through how to pick up at airport. They do not allow the ubers to come into the airport to pick up, only to drop off. Walk through the shark tank. After you collect luggage head straight out the exit and go to your left. Walk to the end. You will see a pedestrian walkway. Walk across the pedestrian walk way to the other side of the street and you can pick up ubers there.
Want to set up transportation with hotel?
Although it is not complimentary Villa Del Palmar Flamingos and Villa La Estancia do offer transportation to and from the airport. You will need to contact the hotel to book 72 hours in advance.
Are You Renting a Car?
After picking up your bags, you will exit the terminal into the arrivals hall and find the company's reception desk. Representatives will direct you to a complimentary shuttle van, which takes you a short distance to the off-site rental facility to pick up your vehicle. You can park at the hotel for a fee.
Should I bring pesos with me?
If you would like to bring a small amount of pesos with you prior to leaving the US you can do so through your bank. You can also exchange money at the hotel. There is also the option of using a bank card at an ATM and withdrawing money which usually is the best way to do it. When the screen asks if you want to use the ATM's conversion rate, decline it. You're home bank will get you a better rate.
Provisions for your room
Villa del Palmar Flamingos does have a small market where you can buy many things including snacks, drinks, eggs, cheese, coffee, creamer, sugar, etc. However, if you are planning on staying for a longer period of time there is a grocery store about a 3 min uber ride away where you can stock up.
